Library Rat

Shortly after we brought the new baby home my toddler asked to hold her. They looked very cute together so I grabbed the camera, but I was so focused on making sure he wasn't dropping the baby I didn't check the settings, and shot with flash and a tungsten white balance. By the time I had corrected my mistake he wanted out. So I was left with a nice but completely blue picture. The goal was to salvage it.

• Color balance adjustment (set at crazy settings ~ 85% red, 85% yellow)
• Lightened with levels adjustment
• Some retouching to remove distracting background elements (edge of furniture, door) and basic retouching to toddler's face (eyes, removed a few red spots on his face)
• A touch of sharpening with Unsharp mask (the picture was soft to begin with)
