Shortly after we brought the new baby home my toddler asked to hold her. They looked very cute together so I grabbed the camera, but I was so focused on making sure he wasn't dropping the baby I didn't check the settings, and shot with flash and a tungsten white balance. By the time I had corrected my mistake he wanted out. So I was left with a nice but completely blue picture. The goal was to salvage it.

My oldest son at the playground. The original picture was dark with an overexposed background, and the slight bluish cast typical of auto white balance shots taken in deep shade.

Evening at the beach in Normandy. This is one of my favorite pics, and I wondered if there would be a way to improve it. I think I managed to shift the color to even better fit the time of the day.

This was a west facing long exposure at twilight. The original sky was a bit boring, so I added a sunset sky from another picture to add clouds and texture.
